An independent critical edition

The surviving Mayday archive begins in 1981 with advertisements published in the Arizona Daily Wildcat. The advertisements form a cumulative, cross-referential body of work built from dates, Levels, quotations, images, places, historical sources, and recurring forms.

This independent critical edition currently publishes one corpus-informed annotated node: the complete advertisement published on 22 November 1983. Its twelve notes depend on a larger private research corpus disclosed by date and citation. Full pages remain withheld until publication review is complete.

Across the corpus is the finding aid for those dependencies, recurring structures, candidate methods, and present limits. It is not a claim that the corpus has been solved.

This edition is not an official Mayday channel. Its editors do not claim to be the Orphanage, to speak for the advertisements’ creator, or to possess a final solution. Primary artifacts remain visibly separate from transcripts, identifications, editorial readings, reception material, and reader contributions.
